Over 209,000 driving licences issued

LAHORE:The driving licences were issued to more than 209,000 citizens across the province on the instructions of IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar.

Punjab Police spokesperson said that the citizens are getting special convenience from the online system and last day 137,299 citizens got licences while 72,620 citizens got licences from traffic police offices, service centres and police stations.

IG pins ranks on 50 ASIs

IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar pinned the new ranks to 50 ASIs, who have been promoted in Lahore Police at the CPO on Thursday. Among those who have been promoted, nine of Operations Branch, 23 of Investigation, seven of Organized Crime, four of Security Duty, two of Elite, Special Branch one and two ASIs of Training College Chuhng were included.

MD NPF calls on IG

MD National Police Foundation (NPF) M Sabir Ahmad called on IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar at Central Police Office. The professional issues related to modern training of police force, welfare measures, and capacity building of police force were discussed during the meeting.
