Tribute paid to Lance Naik Mahfooz on his 52nd martyrdom anniversary
RAWALPINDI: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) and Services Chiefs have paid homage to great sacrifice of Lance Naik Muhammad Mahfooz Shaheed (Nishah-e-Haider) on his 52nd Martyrdom Day today (Monday).
Lance Naik Mahfooz Shaheed in his act of bravery silenced many guns of enemy at Wahga border. Shaheed, despite suffering from critical injuries, grabbed machine gun gunner of enemy from his neck and killed.
This act of bravery is an example for custodians of the country to follow, the Inter-Services Public Relations ISPR in a statement said. The statement said such heroes owe great honour and respect from the nation.
This act of bravery reflects sacrifices being rendered by armed force for defence of the country, the statement said.
