Athletics trials for Asian Junior championship today

KARACHI: The Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) will hold open national trials for junior athletes on Wednesday (today) at the Punjab Stadium in Lahore.

The trials are being conducted to select athletes for participation in the Asian Junior Athletics Championships and other international events to be held later this year.

Trials for men’s event include 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 110m hurdles, 400m hurdles, high jump, long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus throw, hammer throw and javelin throw.

During women’s trials, athletes can appear in 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 100m hurdles, 400m hurdles, high jump, long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus throw, hammer throw and javelin throw disciplines.
