Telecom conference on May 17
KARACHI: The 9th Pakistan Telecom Conference (TELECON) 2016 will be held on May 17 in Islamabad under the theme of “At the Crossroads of Revolutionary Technology Challenges”, a statement said on Tuesday.
The conference is being organised by Shamrock Conferences International in collaboration with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), it said.
Syed Ismail Shah, chairman of PTA, will deliver the keynote address, while eminent speakers, experts and panellists will discuss in the four dedicated sessions on regulatory, technology, ICT entrepreneurship and social impact.
Coinciding with the World Telecom Day 2016, the annual assembly of key stakeholders from Pakistan’s telecom, IT, financial, social and related sectors will focus on major developments from a regulatory perspective, including the Telecom Policy and the recently tabled Cybercrime Bill 2016.
