Anti-polio drive begins

LAKKI MARWAT: The deputy commissioner inaugurated a five-day anti-polio drive by administering oral polio vaccine to several children on the premises of his office on Friday. Among others DHO Dr Abdugul, officials of partners’ organisations were present on the occasion.
Earlier, at a meeting the deputy commissioner, Rahmat Ali Wazir, chaired a meeting at his office to review arrangements for the vaccination campaign commencing from Dec 18.Wazir asked the vaccinators to reach every child under the age of five and ensure their vaccination.He said that his administration with support of police had made foolproof security arrangements for polio workers.
