PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court (PHC) has tasked another bench to hear the petition against stopping former provincial minister and PTI leader Shaukat Yousafzai at Peshawar Airport during his journey to Umrah.
The petition was heard by a bench consisting of Justice Abdul Shakoor and Justice Syed Arshad Ali. The petitioner’s lawyer, Syed Sikander Hayat Shah, informed the court that Shaukat Yousafzai’s name was neither on the exit control list nor the stop list, but he was illegally stopped at the airport.
Justice Abdul Shakoor excused himself from hearing the case and said the petitioner had remained his neighbour, which is why it would be heard by another bench. The court adjourned the hearing for today (Thursday).
