PPP’s Qasim Naveed Qamar wins District Council by-poll
HYDERABAD: Tando Muhammad Khan District Chairman Qasim Naveed Qamar, who had been nominated by the Pakistan Peoples Party, won the District Council by-election on Thursday in Union Council Mulakatyar by getting 4,904 votes.
Three candidates contested the by-election for the seat of District Council of Tando Muhammad Khan, for which the polling process for 11,888 voters registered at nine polling stations continued from 8am to 5pm without any break.
In the by-election for thw District Council seat, PPP candidate and District Chairman Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar got 4,904, the TLP’s candidate Ghulam Rasool Samijo secured 224 votes and PTI candidate Abdul Latif Soomro polled 124 votes. On the occasion of the municipal elections, 150 police personnel performed their duties, and strict arrangements were made at polling stations.
