LG rep joins PTIP in Mansehra

MANSEHRA: Battal neighbourhood Council Chairman Hizbullah Khan, who was arrested along with former MNA from the federal capital, Ali Nawaz Awan, earlier this month, on Thursday joined Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Parliamentarians.

“Though I remained active in the PTI and was elected chairman of Battal Village Council, I am no longer part of that party,” he told a gathering in Battal upon his arrival from Islamabad.

A large number of people welcomed him on his arrival in Battal Town after joining Pervez Khattak-led PTI Parliamentarians in Islamabad. A joint team of Law-enforcement agencies and Islamabad police had arrested Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf additional secretary general and ex-MNA Ali Nawaz Awan and Hizbullah Khan from the latter’s residence in Battal earlier

this month.

“I am not under any pressure from any quarter and joined this new party as my close friend and former MNA from Mansehra Saleh Mohammad Khan also joined the PTI Parliamentarians,” Khan said.

He added that days were gone when PTI’s chairman Imran Khan was known to be a guarantee to the development and prosperity of the country and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.Khan said that his new party would work for the uplift of the country and KP as people face highest-ever inflation.

Meanwhile, PTI’s former Divisional Information Secretary in Hazara, Ajmal Khan Swati, has said he would contest as an independent aspirant if his party didn’t award him a ticket for the upcoming general elections.
