Businessmen donate Rs7.8m for orphan kids

PESHAWAR: The KP business community has donated over Rs7.8 million funds for orphan children of the institute — SOS Children Village Pakistan, KP.

SOS Children Village Pakistan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chairman Justice (retired) Qalandar Ali Khan and founder of Aziz Jan Institute of Learning and leading industrialist of the KP, Senator Mohsin Aziz arranged an awareness session in the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) for the ‘Kafalat’ of orphan children.

Monday.Sanaullah Khan, Ijaz Khan Afridi, Riaz Arshad, Muhammad Asif, Malik Niaz Ahmad, Abidullah Yousafzai, Qurtul Ain, Ihsanullah, Ghulam Bilal Javed, Javed Ahmad, Saddar Gul, Fazle Wahid, Ishtiaq Muhammad and others people associated with industries and trade were present.

Fuad Ishaq praised the Kafalat programme for orphan children along with education, health and other facilities being provided by SOS Children Village Pakistan KP.He said the business community appreciated the services of the SOS Children Village Pakistan KP.

Members of the business community during the awareness session generously donated funds and took ‘Kafalat’ of orphan children to provide for the cost incurred on them.

The SCCI chief handed over a cheque for Rs1.2 million for Kafalat of seven orphan children while a senior businessman Ilyas Ahmad Bilour, Sabir Sethi, Malik Niaz Ahmad, Sanaullah Khan, Hazrat Umar announced Kafalat of orphans whereas Riaz Arshad, Asim Rehman and Shakir Ishaq took the guardianship of 10 orphan children while Ghulam Bilal Javed donated Rs100,000.

During the awareness session, the announcement was made for a technical training programme for orphan children on behalf of Senator Nauman Wazir, while Senator Mohsin Aziz announced to provide all required machinery and equipment in this regard.

Senator Mohsin Aziz, who is the founder of Aziz Jan Institute of Learning and leading businessman/industrialist and SOS children village Pakistan KP, Chairman Qalandar Ali Khan praised and thanked the SCCI President Fuad Ishaq and businessmen for support to the orphan children.

Earlier, the SOS Children Village Pakistan KP Director Kaukab Batool and Assistant Director Zahir Shah gave a detailed presentation on the facilities being provided to orphan children at the institute and its performance.
