19 die in accident near Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: Nineteen people died and 13 others sustained injuries in a road accident near here on Wednesday. A passenger bus going to Lahore from Layyah collided with a truck loaded with iron bars at Thekri Walla on the Jhang Road. As a result, 19 people, including women and children, died and 13 others sustained injuries. The injured were rushed to the Allied Medical College Hospital. Police said the bus collided with the truck in a bid to save a donkey cart. The bus driver managed to flee.
