Police launch women safety app
LAHORE : Police's awareness campaign video of the Women Safety app produced by Punjab Police Social Media Cell and Safe cities authority has gone viral on social media. IG Dr Usman Anwar said that more than two crore citizens have seen the video and praised it. In the video, women are informed about how to get help from the police through the Women Safety app in any difficult situation.
IG Punjab said that housewives, working women and girl students can get help and protection from the police with just one click through the Women Safety app. In any case of harassment, torture or any other emergency situation, police arrive within minutes and take action against the accused after receiving information though the App. He said that Safe City Authority and Punjab Police Social Media Cell has been regularly releasing various video messages for the awareness of citizens and most of the videos based on police services and social awareness have received more than one crore views.
