JHANG: The farmers on Friday ended their sit-in on the second day after successful dialogue with the sugar mill management held on an intervention of DPO Humayun Masood.
The farmers ended the protest after the mill management assured them of paying Rs 25 million in the next two days from the total outstanding amount of the growers. On Thursday, a large number of farmers under the banner of Pakistan Kisan Ittehad staged a sit-in in front of the DCO Office against the mill management for not paying their arrears.
