The Sindh government has constituted a committee to resolve problems of the members of the Karachi Press Club (KPC). A 10-member committee was constituted on Tuesday to resolve issues of the members of the KPC who are mostly journalists.
It is, however, pertinent to mention that not all Karachi- or Sindh-based journalists are members of the press club. The committee would be headed by the Sindh information secretary. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has also endorsed the committee and a notification has also been issued by the chief secretary to announce the formation of the committee.
The other members of the committee include member land utilisation of the Sindh Board of Revenue, a representative of the Sindh Board of Revenue, a representative of the local government department, Malir Development Authority director general, Lyari Development Authority director general; District Malir deputy commissioner, District Keamari deputy commissioner, KPC president and KPC general secretary
The committee, according to a notification issued by the services, general administration and coordination department of Sindh, would address and resolve the issue of the members of the KPC.
