PM stresses on improving living standard of people
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said all development and welfare schemes should focus on improving the living standard of people.
He was talking to a group of parliamentarians who separately called on him. The MNAs, who called on him, included Javed Latif, Shezra Mansab and Abdul Karim, a statement from the PM House said.
The prime minister said the purpose of all projects and schemes was to serve and empower people and added that the parliamentarians should focus their energies on the development of their areas and earn confidence of the masses. He assured them of his support for the timely execution of development and welfare schemes in their respective constituencies.
The parliamentarians lauded the PM for turning around Pakistan’s economy and initiating infrastructure development projects across the country and reviving the progressive image of Pakistan. They said that under the leadership of the prime minister, the overall security situation in the country had improved significantly.
Meanwhile, talking to Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana who called on him at the PM House, Nawaz said his government was focused on revitalising every sector which unfortunately faced neglect by previous governments.
“Our government with the grace of Almighty Allah will remove the energy deficiency by the end of our term in office,” he said.Appreciating the government for its public welfare projects, Rajwana discussed with the PM various issues facing Punjab. He said the mass transit systems, road infrastructure and other such projects executed by the government had eased difficulties of the public at large.
Nawaz said his government’s initiatives were aimed at reshaping Pakistan by proactively pursuing mega infrastructure projects including CPEC and TAPI. These projects would certainly change the destiny of millions of people in the region, he said, adding that Pakistan’s perception abroad had greatly improved due to the economic stability and improved law and order in the country.
