ISLAMABAD: Dubbing Imran Khan a “King of U-turns”, Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid said on Wednesday that the PTI chairman deviated from his earlier stance on the local commission, tasked to inspect record of NA-122 constituency.
“Imran Khan is now criticizing the commission, on which he expressed confidence in the past,” Rashid said while responding to Imran Khan’s recent petition filed in the election tribunal seeking action against the commission.
Khan had expressed confidence in the local commission in three of his press conferences, the minister added. He alleged that Imran Khan only supports those commissions that issue verdicts in his favour.
Earlier, the PTI chairman sought action against the local commission for issuing media statements, which he said, created negative impact on the case. The local commission had issued statement to media, stating that no rigging was carried out in NA-122 and only irregularities were found in the constituency, where NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq stood victorious against Khan.
