President lauds humanitarian work of IFRC, PRCS
ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain Wednesday admired the humanitarian and noble work of International Federation of Red Cross (IFRC) and Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS). The President welcomed cooperation from the friendly countries and IFRC in different welfare projects in Pakistan. He was talking to IFRC delegation headed by Chairman Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Dr. Saeed Elahi that called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr. said a press release. The delegation comprised representatives from ten countries including United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Norway and Iran.
The President noted that Pakistan suffered heavily due to conflict in Afghanistan and stressed upon undertaking rehabilitation activities on a large scale to improve the situation in Pakistan. He also commended the efforts of the International Federation of Red Cross (IFRC) and Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in this regard. The President assured the IFRC and PRCS of his fullest cooperation in their welfare activities. On the occasion Chairman PRCS Dr. Saeed Elahi and foreign representatives apprised the President about their ongoing welfare activities in Pakistan and future initiatives.
