NOWSHERA: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami (JUI-S) chief Maulana Samiul Haq on Tuesday criticised secular politicians and intellectuals for holding the seminaries responsible for the prevailing ills in the society.
Speaking at the prize distribution ceremony among the position holders at the Darul Uloom Haqqania, he said the secular forces in Pakistan had allied themselves with the West for introducing changes to the syllabus of the madaris.
“Madaris are neither promoting violence, nor are involved in terrorist activities but are promoting Islam’s true message of peace,” he said. He added that the international terrorist (United States) considered the Islamic literature a hindrance in achieving its nefarious objectives.
Maulana Samiul Haq asked the graduating students of the seminaries to prepare for meeting the challenges being faced by the Muslim world. “Ulema must rise to the challenge and deal with the crisis the country is facing in the wake of US and other countries’ influence on our policies,” he stressed.
