The three-day BYTE 2016, organised by Bahria University, concluded with a commitment to strive for excellence in technical as well as in social aspects and continue to organise such festivals every year to bring out the best in every student.
The dignitaries who were present on the occasion were Dr. Ismail Shah, Chairman PTA and ICT R&D Fund; Tahir Chaudhry, President Computer Society of Pakistan; Salim M Rafik, Nadra DG Operations; Babur Zahoor, President Open Source Foundation of Pakistan; Pro Rector Bahria University Rear Admiral (r) Shahid Saeed and faulty of Bahria University.

Engineering events, Micro Controller Interface: Bahria University Team (winner) and FAST NU Islamabad Team (runner-up). Robotics: CASE Islamabad Team (winner) and IIU Team (runner-up). Programming Freak: IIU Team (winner) and Bahria University team (runner-up). Speed Wiring: IIU Team (winner) and Bahria University Team (runner-up).
Open challenge events, Brain Teaser: KICSIT team (winner)and Air University (runner-up). Scavanger Hunt: Bahria University (winner) and Bahria College (runner-up). X Factor: Bahria University (winner) and Preston University (runner-up). Minute to Win It: both winner and runner-up awards were received by Bahria University.

Theme based events, Creative Photography: both the prizes were won by Hi-Tech University. Dubsmash: Ira University (winner) and Preston University (runner-up). Creative Writing: Bahria University (winner) and Preston University (runner-up). Sketching: FJWU (winner) and Bahria University (runner-up). Urdu Declamation: Preston University (winner) Riphah University (runner-up). English Declamation: both the winner and runner-up awards were clinched by Riphah University.
E-Gaming, COD-4: NUST (winner) and Bahria University (runner-up). FIFA: both the awards were taken by Bahria University. Need for Speed: KICSIT (winner) and Bahria University (runner-up). Teken: both winner and runner-up awards were taken by Bahria University.
