MIRANSHAH: Twelve militants were killed in shelling by gunship helicopters of the Pakistan Army while four terrorist hideouts were also destroyed during the ongoing military offensive Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan, official sources said on Wednesday. They said seven vehicles of militants were also destroyed in the action.
The sources said the gunship helicopters targetted the hideouts of the terrorists in Mama Ziarat and Khadarkhel areas of Dattakhel Tehsil of the volatile North Waziristan Agency.As a result, the sources said, 12 militants were killed while their four hideouts were destroyed.
Online adds: The Operation Zarb-e-Azb against the militants is continuing in North Waziristan. The organised network of terrorists has disintegrated after Zarb-e-Azb by the Pakistan Army. Over 1,200 militants have been killed in the operation so far.It may be noted that army soldiers have cleared more than 70 percent of the territory in North Waziristan.
