Pakistan Peoples’ Party MPA Khurram Jehangir Wattoo Wednesday submitted a resolution in the Punjab Assembly demanding extension in the service of Chief of the Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif.
The resolution was submitted by PPP MPA Khurram Jehangir Wattoo, son of Mian Manzoor Wattoo, PPP Punjab president.
The resolution was submitted a day after his party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari termed the army chief a bold and sagacious leader and urged him to review his decision of not taking extension.
However, this is noteworthy that the decision to submit the resolution was not taken after taking the other PPP MPAs on board as even no parliamentary meeting was called over the issue.
