Train collides with crane near Hasan Abdal

HASAN ABDAL: Khyber Mail Express hit a huge crane in a remote part of Hasanabdal in wee hours of Monday, injuring two suspected persons. The train, travelling between Peshawar and Karachi, was carrying passengers when it hit the crane near railway crossing ripping off the superstructure of the crane, however, the train remained safe in the collision. Police and rescue teams rushed to the scene soon after the accident while people from surrounding areas also gathered at the spot. Police seeing the late night accident as a terror bid and arrested two suspects from the scene in injured condition; however, driver of crane fled from scene. Police have started investigation and shifted the two suspects to undisclosed location for further probe.
