Prince Harry faces ‘personal cost’ as exile cannot be reversed
Prince Harry is upset as the Royal Family keeps going forward after his exit
Prince Harry must be upset as he misses poignant Royal event.
The Duke of Sussex, who exited his position as a senior Royal back in 2020, would be upset as his family across the pond celebrated King Charles official birthday this week.
Speaking about Harry‘s dismay, expert Rebecca Russell writes for Express: “The sting of Prince Harry’s self-imposed exile must prickle even more today. As one of the few living members of the Royal Family to have served in the military, his absence from major events like Trooping the Colour is a poignant reminder of a life left behind.”
“While his six-year absence from the celebration hasn’t been greatly felt by the public or the institution, the personal cost to the Duke must be staggering. For all his and Meghan’s talk of freedom, the glamour and shine of the Hollywood spotlight pales in comparison to hundreds of years of tradition and military splendour,” she opines.
Prince Harry left the Royal Family back in 2020 alongside wife Meghan Markle and son, Prince Archie. The couple later accused the Royal Family of showcasing racism towards their son and publicly shared their grievances on television. Harry and Meghan now live in California, where they also welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
