Prince William saw a rapid response vehicle named after him become part of the Norfolk Blood Bikes fleet during his visit to Norfolk on Thursday.

A statement said, the Prince of Wales unveiled the ‘Prince William’, the latest rapid response vehicle to join the Norfolk Blood Bikes fleet," read caption on a social media post shared by Kensington Palace team.

It said, "On shift with Norfolk Blood Bikes, a volunteer-led emergency courier service operating 365 days a year, delivering blood, plasma, vaccines and other urgent medical supplies to hospitals and emergency responders across the region."

The statement added, "Seeing first-hand the dedication, precision and care behind every journey, this team plays a vital role in supporting NHS services - ensuring lifesaving supplies reach patients quickly, safely and often outside of normal hours, when it matters most."
