Royal reputation on the line once again after Sarah Ferguson's charity move
Sarah Ferguson's charity collapse sparks questions about royal finances
Sarah Ferguson, the ex-wife of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is reportedly facing renewed questions after her charitable organization announced it would cease operations for the foreseeable future.
According to Radar Online, Sarah's trust which focused on supporting women and children, confirmed it would suspend activities amid growing public interest in her past connections to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
This comes after the release of documents that reportedly continued communication between Sarah and Jeffrey after his 2008 conviction.
Notably, The Anti-Slavery Collective, co-founded by the daughter of Sarah and Andrew, Princess Eugenie has reportedly attracted attention following complaints about its financial practices.
Royal expert Hilary Fordwich said, "All the charities that members of the York family have been involved with have been viewed as dubious at best," stressing that Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice need to be "transparent" about the goings-on of organizations linked to them.
Furthermore, organizations associated with Andrew, Prince Harry, Prince William and King Charles have also come under examination in recent years.
As per the sources, "Even if there's no proof of wrongdoing, the slightest suggestion of impropriety can be damaging to the royal family's reputation."
"By all accounts, Prince William is very protective of the monarchy. When king, he'd likely banish anyone in the family from public life if they were implicated in any financial wrongdoing," they added.
