Princess Beatrice, Eugenie concerned about Prince William's future plans: 'Clock is ticking'
Princess Eugenie and Beatrice father "Andrew was the warning shot"
Princess Eugenie and Beatrice are said to be concerned amid their cousin Prince William’s future plans regarding the royal properties when he becomes King.
A royal expert has claimed that the York sisters are preparing for a future without one of the Royal Family’s most coveted perks: rent-free living in royal properties.
Speaking to the royal insiders, Rob Shuter has shared Eugenie and Beatrice concerns in his latest substack.
He writes, “Beatrice and Eugenie know the clock is ticking,” adding “They don’t expect William to continue providing rent-free homes for family members who aren’t carrying out official duties.”
The issue has come into sharper focus amid the ongoing drama surrounding their father Andrew and Royal Lodge.
The insiders told the expert, “Andrew was the warning shot,” “If a prince can be pushed out of a royal residence, nobody believes the York sisters will be exempt from the changes William wants to make.”
According to insiders, William’s vision for the monarchy is clear: "royal privileges should be tied to royal work."
The close confidant continued Prince William’s view is simple, “Royal properties exist to support the institution. If you’re not working for the institution, it’s difficult to justify living in them rent-free.”
“Everyone knows what’s coming,” a royal source tells Rob. “When William is King, Beatrice and Eugenie will almost certainly be expected to pay their own way.”
