King Charles hosts Ghana's leader at Buckingham palace
King Charles welcomed Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama to Buckingham palace on Tuesday.
Marking a notable diplomatic engagement between the United Kingdom and the West African nation, the palace shared a photo of King Charles and President John Dramani posing together via official Instagram handle of the royal family.
The caption of the post read: "This afternoon, the President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, was received in audience by The King at Buckingham Palace."
President John Dramani arrived in London to promote Ghana as a leading investment destination, deepen economic cooperation with the UK and engage with Ghanaian diaspora.
Besides meeting with King Charles, his visit will also include a meeting with British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
Furthermore, the president is also scheduled to ring the opening bell at the London Stock Exchange and is expected to deliver addresses at Chatham House and the 12th Africa Debate at London's Guildhall.
