Meghan, Harry's photo drama with Kardashians proved too much for Meredith Maines
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's communications officer resigns after Kardashians photo controversy
Meredith Maines, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's communications officer, resigned after she had to deal with the backlash the couple received over their photo controversy with the Kardashians, reported Page Six
Two days after the announcement of her departure from Archewell Foundation, the outlet quoting an insider, reported the drama with the Kardashians was the “final straw” for Maines.
The publication said they've reached out to Harry and Markle’s rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Referring to a source close to Maines, the outlet wrote, “She’s unflappable, and does not complain … she really enjoyed her time there, but at a certain point it’s time to go.”
“Coming from the VC and tech industries, she’s used to so many things going on at all times,” the insider said."
The photo controversy with the Kardashians started when the royal couple was invited to attend the star-studded birthday bash of Kris Jenner, where they posed for pictures with numerous celebrities including Kim Kardashian.
Following the party, Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian shared their photos with Harry and Meghan on Instagram, and then deleted them without offering any explanation.
This led to speculation among fans, with some saying the royal couple requested Kris and her daughter to delete the photos.
Multiple reports suggested that Kris and Kim were annoyed at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for overshadowing the birthday party.
However, it was Meredith Maines who had to bear the brunt of what ensued.
