But a Page Six report describes how the Academy Award-winning actor found himself in an awkward situation when the trio were reunited under the same roof.
Photos show the exes arrived together with their children, Seraphina, who starred in a play at a Los Angeles playhouse, and the On the Floor hitmaker's son, Emme Muñiz, who also took part in the drama.
Reports indicate that Ben and J.Lo did not meet, even though they were within each other's line of sight. The pop icon was with her mother, Guadalupe, and her manager, Benny Medina.
It is worth noting that in 2024, the pair separated after tying the knot in 2022. They were previously engaged in 2002.
Following his divorce, reports indicate that The Batman star emotionally leaned on her kids' mom as they co-parent their three children.
In a separate part of this 'awkward' triangle, a recent Radar Online report claimed Ben was caught in a clash between them.
The alleged tension is over which holiday plans the actor would participate in. J.Lo is preparing to recreate her family for Christmas, but Jennifer has different engagements for the festive season.
"Ben had the exact same issue last year, but wound up finding a solution by splitting his time in L.A. between J.Lo and Garner," the insider told the outlet.
"That's what he's suggested this year, but J.Lo's got her heart set on them doing something special as an extended family," the source added.
"She's offered to fly Ben and the kids somewhere tropical, so they can enjoy some R&R in the sunshine, let the kids properly catch up, and put an end to any lingering awkwardness between her and Ben,” the tipster tattled.
