Kate Middleton reveals surprising shift inside modern monarchy

Kate Middleton and Prince William has seemingly offered a glimpse into the modern monarchy.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were joined by their children at the annual Together at Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey recently.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis stole the show with their appearance. They appeared confident and composed alongside their parents.

Royal commentators have noted that the children's growing ease in the spotlight reflects a shift toward a more relatable and family-focused monarchy. "George, Charlotte and Louis show impressive poise at public appearances, and they have developed a natural ease in front of cameras and crowds. There's no doubt that this has a lot to do with the way they have been brought up, and the modern monarchy that their parents are shaping," Robert Jobson told Hello! Magazine.

Robert added, "George, in particular, having once looked quite shy and timid in these situations, seems increasingly self-assured, and perhaps it won’t be long until we see him giving a reading at one of his mother's carol services."

This year marked fifth time Kate Middleton hosting the concert. While meeting the performers, the Princess of Wales told them that her children were "really excited" to be there. She added that the service has "become such a tradition."

Speaking about the event, Lady Frederick Windsor aka actress Sophie Winkleman also told the outlet, "It's always so heartwarming and beautiful."

"I won't ever forget the lady in Lancashire who organises Christmas lunch for people who'd otherwise be alone, or the incredible teens from Platinum Performing Arts dancing their way up the abbey. It's always so beautifully thought out. I love the choir, too," she added.
