SpaceX launches 29 satellites after fireball spotted in the sky
SpaceX successfully launched 29 Starlink satellites into low orbit from the Florida coast on Tuesday, November 11.
The mission marked the successful landing of the Falcon 9’s stage on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean, sending another batch of its Starlink internet satellites from Florida’s Space Coast.
Meanwhile, the rocket made a vertical rocket-assisted landing as it returned to earth as planned 8.5 minutes later.
It has been observed that this was the third flight for the booster designated 1096.
Keeping in line with the antecedent expeditions, the first launch carried NASA’s IMAP space-weather mission and a batch of Amazon’s Project Kuiper broadband satellites.
The Falcon 9’s upper stage carried the 29 Starlink satellites to LEO (Low earth Orbit) where they were deployed as planned about 65 minutes after launch.
Yesterday's launch was the 144th Falcon 9 mission of 2025, and the 104th of the year dedicated to constructing the Starlink mega-constellation.
Space X has also launched five suborbital test flights of its Starship mega rocket this year, and the company is maintaining an accelerated deployment pace crucial to realizing the potential and global coverage of its Starlink broadband constellation.
Space X has launched five suborbital test flights of its Starship mega rocket this year.
In addition, the record marks that the previous highs were 132 Falcon 9 launches and 138 total launches, both set in 2024.
The booster from the recent launch conducted an autonomous landing on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean in just over eight minutes.
