Elizabeth Hurley, Billy Ray Cyrus romance update: ‘Funnily enough’
Elizabeth Hurley provides sweet update about ongoing relationship with Billy Ray Cyrus
Elizabeth Hurley is opening up about how things are going with her boyfriend, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, and it sounds like the two are happier than ever.
“Billy Ray. Yes, Billy Ray is fabulous. We’re very happy, very happy,” Hurley, 60, shared in a new interview with The Times of London published on Saturday, October 25.
The actress went on to talk about how much Cyrus enjoys spending time in her home country.
“He loves it. Obviously he loves England,” she said, adding with a laugh that “the weather is nicer here in the summer than it is in Tennessee.”
Hurley explained that Cyrus, who lives about 40 minutes outside of Nashville, finds similarities between his surroundings and the English countryside.
“It’s so beautiful. Funnily enough, it actually looks a lot like England. Probably the equivalent of Surrey,” she noted.
When they’re together in Tennessee, the couple tends to keep things low-key. Hurley joked that Cyrus usually waits in the car when she runs errands because “he would be annoying.”
She also revealed a playful detail about their domestic life, saying, “I cut his hair the other day. We do have a lot of hair between us. We’re in constant danger of choking on hairballs.”
Laughing, she added that his hair is “very fuzzy” and that they try to “make it look the same in the end.”
Hurley and Cyrus first crossed paths in 2022 while filming Christmas in Paradise for Netflix.
Their friendship later turned into something more when Hurley sent Cyrus a supportive text in 2024.
“I didn’t even know the number, and it’s like, ‘Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough and just wanted you to know I’m in your corner. You got a friend in your corner,’” Cyrus recalled earlier this year on Bentli’s Apple Music show, describing Hurley as a “great human being” and “impressively brilliant.”
The pair went public with their relationship on Easter in April 2025, sharing their first photo together on Instagram after keeping things private for months.
At the time, a source told Us Weekly that Hurley’s friends had known for a while but “she had sworn them all to secrecy.”
In May, Hurley spoke about the romance at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Hot Pink Party in New York City, saying, “I think people found Billy and I being together a little surprising. It’s not surprising to me because we’re actually quite similar and get on extremely well.”
She added, “We both like to laugh a lot, and we both love the country. And we both love country music, both love movies. We’ve got a lot in common — and cowboy boots, definitely.”
The actress also shared that she and Cyrus connected early on over being single parents.
Hurley is mom to her son Damien, while Cyrus has six children — Brandi, Trace, Miley, Noah, and Braison with ex-wife Tish Cyrus, and son Christopher with ex Kristin Luckey.
From English summers to Tennessee countryside drives, it seems Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus have found a rhythm that suits them — and a relationship built on laughter, shared interests, and a touch of country charm.
