Hailee Steinfeld revealed that she has an unfathomable connection with her role in upcoming film, Sinners.
The actress is all set to play a multi-racial character in Ryan Coogler’s directorial.
While addressing her profound connection with the ‘Mary’, the 28-year-old admitted that “It had such an impact on me personally.”
Moreover, she believes that the role will also have an impact on all those who watch the film.
The Hawkeye star told to PEOPLE, “I feel like the least it can do is make an impact on those that watch it. I think it affected all of us so personally and so deeply, and I do believe that you feel that and you see that when you watch this movie.”
Steinfeld further explained that she feels so 'grateful' for having a ‘deeply personal connection’.
She added, “I’m so grateful for the deeply personal connection that each of us have [to the material], mine being with my family history, with my grandfather, who I wish was still here to answer all the questions that I have that this movie raised for me and making this movie raised.”
Sinners is an American period supernatural film written, produced and directed by the Black Panther creator.
Featuring Michael B. Jordan, Li Jun Lim, Omar Benson Miller and others, the adventure movie is set to release on April 18, 2025.
