The agreement was signed on Thursday in Landikotal administration office where a large number of local elders and members of civil society were present.
Assistant Political Agent of Landikotal Muhammad Tayyab Abdullah chaired the meeting while Zakhakhel elders including Malik Darya Khan, Malik Abdur Razzaq, Malik Abdullah Khan, Zarawar Khan and other publicly signed the agreement named Amn in Ramzan and Eid days.
The agreement made all the Afridi tribesmen bound that they would not use weapons against each other during the Ramzan. It was also mentioned in the agreement that whoever violated the agreement would be fined of Rs1 million.
All the Afridi tribesmen welcomed the agreement and said that it would help stop the bloodshed for some time.It may be recalled that the elders of the Shinwari tribe had already signed the same kind of agreement with the local administration two weeks ago.
