Dar heads Laws Review Committee meeting
ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar here on Friday chaired meeting of the Laws Review Committee.
The meeting reviewed progress on different draft laws that have been placed before the Parliament for enactment as well as matters relating to other legislation in the offing. The meeting also had deliberations over devising a mechanism for making appropriate improvements in regard to future legislation.
The objective of committee which meets regularly is to review the laws with a view to identifying anomalies and ambiguities, as well as to bring them at par with the contemporary requirements.
Federal Minister for Climate Change, Zahid Hamid, Minister of State for IT, Anusha Rehman Khan, SAPM on Human Rights, Barrister Zafarullah and SAPM Khwaja Zaheer attended the meeting.
