Students want BKU attack victims compensated
PESHAWAR: The Students Action Committee of Bacha Khan University, Charsadda, on Thursday asked the federal government to provide compensation to the victims of terrorists attack on the Bacha Khan University on the pattern of the Army Public School victims.
Speaking at a press conference here at the Peshawar Press Club, members of Students Action Committee, including Hazrat Ali Yusufzai, Adnan Khankhel, Ihtesham, Hameed Swati, and Ihsan said that both the federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments should announce special package for the martyrs and injured students, teachers and other staff of the university.
They also asked the government to reopen the university for carrying on educational activities as its closure was affecting their study. The action committee members said the terrorist attack on the Bacha Khan University on January 20 had shocked the students of the university.
The students stressed the need for arranging special seminars and sessions for counsesling and psychotherapy of students.The students also demanded fee waiver and special monetary package for the university.
