SUKKUR: The Anti-Corruption Establishment Police in Larkana raided the office of the medical superintendent of the Chandka Medical College Hospital and seized the office record.
A former MS of the Chandka Medical College Hospital had allegedly issued fake cheques embezzling development funds to the tune of Rs300 million.The Anti-Corruption Establishment Police raid was led by Circle Officer Muhammad Paryal Morio. It was conducted in the light of public complaints and media reports.
Later, the circle officer, along with some other officials, visited the site near the hospital and found incomplete and substandard work, sources disclosed.The circle officer told the media that the officer concerned misleadingly reported on construction work of some wards to have been completed and issued fake cheques to the contractors. He said that investigation into matter was underway.
When contacted for official version, an officer at the planning and development office at the hospital refused to share details with the media, saying that all the documents had been handed over to the Anti-Corruption Establishment.
Meanwhile, the Anti-Corruption Establishment Police in Sukkur also conducted a raid on the office of MS of GMMMC Civil Hospital in Sukkur and sealed the record room after collecting the record.
