ISLAMABAD: The Parliamentary Committee on ToRs for the judicial commission to probe the PanamaLeaks will meet on Tuesday instead of Monday, as the government members of the committee would be busy in attending the meetings of the National Economic Council (NEC) and the federal cabinet on Monday (today).

The NEC and the federal cabinet will approve the Annual Development Plan (ADP) and budget 2016-17 respectively. The government members of the Parliamentary Committee will attend the NEC and the federal cabinet meetings, which will be chaired by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif through a video link from London.

The government team rescheduled the Parliamentary Committee meeting in consultation with the united opposition. The Parliamentary Committee meeting held on Friday ended in a deadlock, as the government had rejected the opposition’s 15-point ToRs.

The opposition said there would no compromise on the issue and insisted on starting the accountability process from the prime minister and his family. Rejecting the opposition’s 15-point ToRs, the government proposed the opposition to submit re-articulated/fresh proposals.
