TAKHTBHAI: Awami National Party-Wali (ANP-W) chief Begum Naseem Wali Khan on Saturday said that the spending of state resources in one province would have dire consequences for the country.

Speaking at a public meeting here, she said the federal government had diverted the state resources to the development of Punjab and ignored the smaller federating units. “The exploitation of the smaller provinces would harm the national unity,” she maintained.

She added that the Punjab government didn’t take any action against the banned outfits on its soil.

Criticising the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), she said that former military dictator General Ziaul Haq introduced corruption in the country through JI and holding elections on non-party basis.

She alleged that the JI made millions during the so-called Afghan jihad.

She said Khan Abdul Ghafar Khan and Wali Khan did not do politics for minting money.

However, she accused the ANP chief Asfandyar Wali Khan of indulging in corrupt practices and introducing corruption in the party.
