OPC internship programme for PU students
LAHORE
The Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC), Punjab will provide internship facilities to the students of Institute of Communication Studies (ICS), Punjab University.
The students would be deputed to guide and facilitate overseas Pakistani at airports.
After the completion of internship, special certificates would be awarded to internee students. In this connection, a delegation of students from ICS visited the head office of OPC here on Thursday. Vice Chairman, OPC, Shaheen Khalid Butt and Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti welcomed the delegation and gave a briefing about the working and performance of OPC.
They informed the delegation that on the instructions of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, OPC is playing an active role to redress the complaints of overseas Pakistanis. They told the delegation that for speedy disposal of complaints of Overseas Pakistanis an IT-based system has been devised and all proceedings regarding redressing complaints are uploaded on web portal regularly and overseas Pakistanis can contact OPC for redressing of their complaints round the clock.
ceremony: The first ever graduation ceremony of Punjab University’s Institute of Communication Studies (ICS) will be held on May 14 (Saturday). As many as 265 students of different study programmes, including Masters, BS (Hons) and PhD will receive their degrees while 39 medals will be distributed among the students for excellent performance.
