Over dozen food shops sealed

In a grand operation against substandard food products, Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed over a dozen shops at Lorry Adda here on Wednesday.
PFA Director Operations Ayesha Mumtaz along with the team of Ravi Town raided and sealed over a dozen shops selling substandard and expired food items at Lorry Adda. The team also confiscated 2,000 kilograms substandard food items from these shops. The team also sealed Rana Murgh Chanye over unhygienic conditions. A team of Data Town sealed Shahid Biryani, Bismillah Food Corner and Salahuddin Resturant for selling food items without expiry dates as well as for other violations. —Correspondent
