IB seminar held at TMUC

An International Baccalaureate (IB) Orientation Seminar for the nationwide interested schools aimed at introducing and providing the best education to future generations of Pakistan was held at the Millennium University College, H-11/4, says a press release. 

Speaking on the occasion, Faizol Musa, the Regional Development Manager, Southeast Asia and Pakistan, delivered a detailed presentation to introduce the IB organization, IB philosophy and programs, University recognition, IBCC acceptance and information on how to become an IB world school. He gave a comprehensive talk about the requirements and curriculum framework of IB Primary Years Programme, IB Middle Years Program, IB Diploma Programme and IB Career-related Programme. 

He also appreciated the increasing growth of IB candidate and authorized schools in Pakistan and shared that how the IB mission statement helps to develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalising world.

Azra Tahir, the General Manager, Department of International Qualification at Roots Millennium Schools shared her experience working with IBO for last five years. She reiterated that Millennium Roots School is committed to providing students with the best quality education that ensures their holistic development and definite success in the professional world. She stressed over this believe that IB programmes are the best choice for the students of the present world and most relevant qualifications based on the philosophy of conceptual and inquiry based learning. Giving the brief history on the path of IB qualification, RMS embarked upon the journey of offering IB qualifications in different campuses of RMS in Islamabad three years back and is pleased to share that now Roots Millennium Schools are the candidate schools for all three IB programmes i.e. International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP), International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP). Roots Millennium Schools’ One World Campus E-11/4, Islamabad has already completed two successful years of implementing IB (MYP) curriculum and is fully confident of securing IB authorisation by end of this month.

The seminar was well received by the school heads, IB Managers, Coordinators and students from all the top private schools in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Students from the Roots Millennium Schools shared their learning experiences for being the IB learners and how IB qualifications have transformed their personalities to become internationally minded and lifelong learners.
