LANDIKOTAL: A meeting of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) local leaders on Saturday demanded the release of a 10-grade student.
Israr Shinwari, PML-N Landikotal chapter president, and others said that the officials had violated the law and illegally arrested Maaz Shinwari, a student of grade-10 on the complaint of a rival party.
The PML-N leaders demanded the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor to take notice of the incident.They requested the high-ups to help release the boy so that he could appear in the matriculation examination.
Meanwhile, an official of the political administration said that the student had not yet been released but he was allowed to appear in the examination.He said that the 19-year-old student was arrested after he stabbed and injured an official of the Khassadar.
