Islamabad: The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) has clarified the news item appeared in ‘The News,’ Rawalpindi on May 24, 2015 bearing title ‘Residents of many localities spend sleepless night,’ says a press release.
The spokesman said that there was no breakdown at 220KV Grid Station Rawat and 132KV Grid Station Adyala due to any fault. It was only approved shutdown for 23-05-2015 from 04:00 a.m. to 09:00 a.m. on transmission line 220/132KV Auto Transformer along with 132kv Bus bar of 500kv Station Rawat Grid for some emergent repair/maintenance works. The shutdown schedule was also published in the newspapers for the information of general public.
