Islamabad: A two-day Preston Entrepreneurial Challenge (PEC15) was organised by Preston University in which 105 teams from 36 eminent public and private institutions of higher learning from all over the country participated in different levels of the competition.
Thirty five teams were shortlisted on the basis of executive summary for the grand finale, which was held with a futuristic vision of Iqbal ‘Sitaron se agay Jahan aur bi hain.’
PEC is organised with the specific objective to promote entrepreneurial culture particularly among the youth of the country.
It provided a platform to the young entrepreneurs where they presented their ideas and got them mentored by the domain experts.
Kinnaird College, Lahore secured first position and was awarded a cash prize of Rs100,000. Islamia University, Bahawalpur stood second in the competition and it won a cash prize of Rs75,000. Cash prize of Rs50,000 was awarded to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar for securing third position.
