The 2015 London Graduation Ceremony of University of London International Programmes was held on Wednesday at the Barbican Centre in London, says a press release issued here on Friday.
With a ‘cast’ of more than 3,000 graduates and guests, a member of the royal family, and friends and family gathered around 20,000 computer screens across the world — the 2015 London Graduation Ceremony was a truly momentous occasion on an unprecedented scale for the University of London International Programmes.
The graduation ceremony was presided over by the chancellor, Her Royal Highness (HRH) Princess Anne. The morning ceremony began with a speech by the princess, who warmly congratulated the graduates on their achievements. Between the morning and afternoon ceremonies, a small cross-section of students had the privilege of attending a special reception with the princess. Zara Kayani, a B.Sc graduate from Roots Ivy, said: “It was an unforgettable, once in a lifetime experience”.
Ms. Khadija Mushtaq proudly accompanied the Roots Ivy UOL graduates who were there to share their success at the ceremony with their friends and families, as well as staff from international teaching institutions, and academics from the University of London’s Lead Colleges. This year, 35 students graduated from Roots Ivy International University completing their University of London degrees.
On the occasion, Ms. Khadija Mushtaq expressed her delight: “The most enjoyable thing is to cherish and honour all my extraordinary graduates for creating history worldwide and making world records through exceptional academic achievements. This year, our graduates have been awarded ‘Top in the World’ distinctions among many other significant awards. I applaud all my brilliant, talented and creative students on their huge success and wish them the very best in their future endeavours.”
