Bahria University (BU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with All Pakistan Geoscientists Association (APGA) for providing academics and research activities.
The Contract signing ceremony was held at Bahria University Islamabad where Rear Admiral (r) Saleem Akhtar HI(M) Pro-Rector Bahria University and Junaid M. G. Kiani, Patron-in-Chief of APGA signed the contract in presence of dignitaries and officials from both organisations. The MoU focused on collaboration on a variety of basic and applied research areas. Both organisations agreed to enhance mutual cooperation in many areas including students’ industrial visits, joint research projects and guest lectures.
A research cell will be established by APGA where various equipment for measuring weather will be installed at Bahria University, Islamabad Campus and then Karachi Campus for the researchers of BU. APGA will also organise community support programme for all the departments within BU for blood donation camp, traffic rules, recycling, health & safety, civic sense and public awareness campaigns with the support of Islamabad Traffic Police, CDA, etc.
