A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Chinese and the Punjab government on Wednesday for a mutual collaboration on establishment of Integrated Command, Control and Communication (IC3) System in selected districts of Punjab.
According to a press release, General Manager International Department II of China Tian Taobin and the Chairman Punjab IT Board (PITB) Dr Umar Saif inked the papers of MoU in the presence of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. According to the agreement, the Chinese public sector company CETC International Co Ltd would help the PITB in identifying the areas where technology solutions especially pertaining to security and surveillance would be needed.
