LTC to ply buses for Raiwind Ijtima

Minibuses will operate in the first phase from November 5 to November 8 and in second phase from November 12 to November 15.

LAHORE
Lahore Transport Company with the courtesy of its private transport operators will ply exclusive operation of minibuses to facilitate commuters for participation in Raiwind congregation (Ijtima).
Minibuses will operate in the first phase from November 5 to November 8 and in second phase from November 12 to November 15. For this special occasion, the existing routes have been realigned provisionally for the smooth operation of public transport. Apart from this shuttle service comprised of mini buses will also be plied from Raiwind Pandaal to Main Raiwind Road for the commuters.
In accordance with operation plan Minibuses will operate in parallel on two different route alignments. Route 1 will commence from General Bus Stand Railway Station via Dharampura, Canal Road, Muslim Town Morr, Thokar Niaz Baig, Bhobtian Chowk, and Muhammad Ali Chowk to Raiwind. Whereas in accordance with Route 2 minibus service will start from General Bus Stand Azadi Chowk via Civil Secretariat, Chauburji, Samanabad Moor, Yateem Khana, Thokar Niaz Baig and Bhobtian Chowk to Raiwind congregation. The operations department will remain in close liaison with the allied departments and transport operators during the Ijtima.
business teams: Commissioner Lahore Division Abdullah Khan Sumbal has said that more than 200 business dignitaries and delegations would participate in the International Seminar on Business Opportunities in Punjab scheduled to be held on November 6 and 7, 2015 in Lahore.
Chairing a high level meeting in connection with the International Seminar on Business Opportunities in Punjab on Tuesday, the Commissioner said all the arrangements had been completed and facilitation centres would be set up at the Lahore airport for foreigners' arrival. Here, it is pertinent to mention that the seminar would be held in Lahore and Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif would also meet the business dignitaries.
The Commissioner Lahore disclosed that the same security would be provided to the the delegations as provided to the Zimbabwe Cricket team. He said that to maintain traffic flow, traffic police had been given instructions.
Among others who participated in the meeting included administration officers and police officers.
UET: A delegation of 38 students of Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Khuzdar visited University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore on Tuesday.
The delegation led by BUET Vice-Chancellor Prof Brig (r) Muhammad Amin (SI) was on a special invitation of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
UET Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid welcoming the guests gave a briefing on the university followed by delegation’s visit of different departments. BUET Khuzdar Vice-Chancellor said that BUET was one of the best universities of the province.
