Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique paid a visit to the Masoomia Graveyard, Bund Road, to monitor dengue surveillance teams on the first day of Eid-ul-Azha.
Secretary Health Punjab Jawwad Rafique Malik, DG Health Dr. Zahid Pervez, DCO Lahore Capt (R) Mohammad Usman, EDO Health Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, DOH Dr. Mohammad Saeed and other officers were also present.
According to a handout issued on Sunday, the adviser met with the dengue workers and distributed sweets among them. He patted the workers on discharging duties on Eid day. Talking to the media, Kh. Salman Rafique said “since dengue mosquito does not take holiday in biting the people therefore dengue surveillance should also continue without any gap”. Later, Adviser on Health also visited the Government Mian Munshi DHQ Hospital and reviewed the cleanliness conditions there. MS Mian Munshi Hospital Dr. Mohammad Ameer was also present. Meanwhile, Adviser on Health Kh. Salman Rafique visited the Mayo Hospital on the first day of Eid-ul-Azha to inquire after the health of patients admitted to the hospital. He went to the East Medical Ward and inquired after the health of the patients.
