LAHORE
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore has deployed two female officers in the Cyber Crime Circle to facilitate female complainants facing issues related to blackmailing, hacking of Facebook, Twitter and Gmail accounts.
It is learnt that Director FIA Punjab Dr Usman Anwar has deployed two female officers, including Inspector Iffat Noreen and Inspector Humaira Kanwal, in the Cyber Wing as there are a number of cases/inquiries pending only due to the hesitant female complainants as they feel shy of male investigators.
Currently, there are over 60 inquiries pending with the cyber wing in which complainants are women.
To fill this gap and expedite the inquiry process, the Director FIA Punjab has taken this initiative. A senior FIA official confirmed to The News adding it would help the FIA in completing the pending cases/inquiries of cyber wing. He said the women facing the said issues should contact the FIA to record their statements.
